Servo presses are divided into servo crank presses, servo connecting rod presses, servo screw presses and servo hydraulic presses.
Servo crank press
The general mechanical crank press uses eccentric teeth to drive the slider crank to move up and down, and the curve is a sine curve. Generally, the larger nominal tonnage is reached before the slider runs to the bottom dead center. The stroke is fixed and not adjustable. The general hydraulic press can realize the engineering tonnage at any position of the slider stroke because it transmits the pressure through the liquid. The stroke is adjustable but inefficient.
The servo press controls the movement of the slider through the motor, and integrates the advantages of the mechanical press and the hydraulic press by programming in advance. It can achieve any kind of stamping production at any stage of the stroke, and the pressure curve can be programmed arbitrarily.
Servo screw press
In the traditional double-disc friction-driven screw press, after the machine is started, the friction plate rotates continuously, which consumes a lot of energy, and the striking force is greatly affected by human beings, and the product quality is unstable.
As an upgraded equipment for friction presses, in the fields of hot forging and refractory material forming and processing, two types of electric screw presses, switched reluctance screw presses and servo screw presses, have appeared in the market according to different drive motors.
After the servo screw press starts the machine, as long as the control voltage is lost, the motor stops immediately, so the power consumption is almost negligible when the press performs the striking action, which is about 60% less than that of the friction press. Due to the superior performance of the servo motor, the servo screw press runs more smoothly and accurately, and can achieve fast strikes within an ultra-short stroke.

Compared with ordinary hydraulic presses, servo-driven hydraulic presses have the advantages of energy saving, low noise, high efficiency, good flexibility and high efficiency, and can replace most of the existing ordinary hydraulic presses.
